About the Role
A line cook may be tasked with preparing salads and entrees. He or she oversees a small part of the greater whole. Some common stations manned by line cooks include grill, sauté, fry, and cold foods. This cook may also specialize in pastry, butchering, or vegetables. Experience preferred, but willing to train an ambitious individual who wants to learn to cook in a unique and fulfilling environment.
Position available Thursday through Sunday.
Cafe Arielle is a unique dining experience in a rarefied setting with a pure and straightforward cafe menu that’s always evolving. It’s about ambiance and flavor. You’ll have to force yourself not to say, “Wow!” when you see the indoor glass box over the Mauch Chunk Creek in the dining room (often compared to, but never confused with Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water). Meander outside into the Avant-Garden where you’ll find a dramatic dining patio nestled beneath a rocky outcrop at the base of the mountain. Blended with the architecture of the building, we’ve created a space that challenges the senses. It’s so unusual your smart phone’s GPS might think you’re in Tuscany.
